| At Beans in the Belfry Melanie and helpers have set up and decorated our festive 8-foot towering Christmas tree and adorned our stained-glass lit cozy space with old fashioned toys to make you feel at home.
At our farm table, Karlen will help kids decorate their own cut out gingerbread men, houses and trains with royal icing and colorful candy to display and take home (from 11am to 3pm or while supplies last). $1.25.
In our choir loft, Santa’s elves have set up a Secret Workshop where kids can purchase thoughtful affordable gifts for family and friends for just a few dollars. Elves will assist kids with their selections and help with gift wrapping and gift tags while parents can relax with a cup of gingerbread latte, a glass of hot spiced cider or wine down below and out of view (from 12noon to 6pm).
In the kitchen, our baristas will prepare hot chocolate, hot spiced cider, delicious teas, espresso drinks and, of course, Gluehwein, sweet hot spiced holiday wine. Our shelves are laden with German Lebkuchen, Pfeffernuesse, Stollen, and other feel-good nostalgic holiday confections, as well as many gifts and stocking stuffers for coffee and tea lovers, and for the person who has everything but will love our unique and unusual finds, sometimes made in house by our own Belfry elves.
While in Brunswick, remember to shop local! Our gift shop is well stocked with bags of gourmet coffee, baking accessories for kids such a cookie cutters, sprinkles, aprons, French presses, tea pots, china gift sets, endearing plush puppets, Santa hats and collars for your pets and so much more. We invite you to stay for dinner and an evening of live music with award winning Celtic ensemble “Merlin’s Beard” to end the day on a high note. 7 to 9:30pm. No cover – just tips in their bucket, please.
